HLU OPERATOR
Monday – Friday
5:45 am – 2:15 pm, must be available to work overtime and weekends.
$15.00 per hour
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- An HLU Operator loads reinforcing medium and resin or premix charges of prescribed amounts onto molding equipment and carries out prescribed molding cycles. He/She makes minor adjustments to equipment, charge and/or cycle to obtain a quality product. The HLU Operator then unloads the part from the HLU table/mold, ensuring the part meets quality standards.
- Position requires the ability to count, measure, mix and weigh accurately of resins and catalysts.
- Position requires heavy lifting daily of 50 pounds and up to 100 lbs.
- Position requires quality, safety, and service-oriented individuals.
- Requires learning/knowledge of hazardous material handling.
- Preparation of molding equipment and materials for daily operations.
- Responsible for preparing reinforcing medium and resin for HLU.
- This position must learn and understand mixes and material identification.
- Perform proper housekeeping within his/her designated area daily.
- Position requires proper and safe handling of power tools (worm drive saw, drill mixer) when needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Effective verbal and written communications in English preferred.
- Basic reading and writing competencies in English preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, instructions, and manuals.
- Ability to organize and manage time effectively.
- Possess the ability to utilize the training provided to make sound and safe judgements.
- Basic arithmetic skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
- Must be able to walk, stand, and climb stairs for 8–12-hour shifts.
- Must be able to use hand trucks and carts to push and pull loads > 100 lbs.
- Must have ability to lift and carry loads ≥ 50 lbs.
- Must have ability to safely mount and dismount forklifts.
- Position requires dexterity of hands and fingers to use hand/power tools and fasten items.
