ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Assemble, repackage, and inspect inflatable aircraft components such as evacuation slides, rafts, and helicopter floats in accordance with OEM specifications and written procedures.
- Read and interpret technical data, manuals, and drawings to determine specifications and ensure compliance with standards.
- Measure and verify components using templates, gauges, or other measuring tools to confirm dimensions meet required guidelines.
- Perform manual tasks including lifting, pulling, pushing, and tugging to properly repackage inflatable components using approved tooling and methods.
- Collaborate with inspectors to ensure all parts and components are airworthy prior to packing.
- Complete all required documentation accurately for each work task in accordance with established procedures.
- Follow all safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Maintain productivity standards and support team members to meet department goals.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Basic math skills and ability to read and interpret tape measures and technical drawings.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Capable of standing for long periods and frequently bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling.
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Previous experience in a shop or production environment preferred.
- Must pass all required pre-employment screenings.
- In-house training provided.
