Prepare financial reports to track the assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities for several entities.
Performs general accounting and other related duties.
Prepares periodic (monthly) balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
Enters journal entries to debit and credit the company’s accounts.
Maintains the general ledger.
Codes accounts payable invoices, sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and closes the monthly books.
Reconciles bank accounts monthly and verifies deposits.
Invoice and reconcile customer accounts and manage accounts receivable collections.
Verifies payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting.
Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
Proficient with accounting software.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to efficiently operate a 10-key calculator or equivalent and other related office equipment.
Managing mail, Fax Communications and traditional paper filing.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information with integrity.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline required.
Three to five years of accounting experience required.
