CNC MILL MACHINIST
Monday – Friday, must be able to work night shifts
6:00 am - 4:30 pm
$24.00 - $28.00 per hour
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Setup and operate CNC Mill
- Properly placing work piece in the machines and completing the operations specified on the job travelers.
- Interpret blueprints and part specifications to select the correct material, tools, and fabrication processes
- Load and unload parts, change tools setting offsets, verify part measurements, detect equipment malfunction, detect out of tolerance conditions
- Performs operations needed to manufacture complex components
- Perform basic daily maintenance on work center
- Commitment to keeping a neat and organized work area
- Develop specifications from simple and complex blueprints, or hand sketch simple parts on paper
- Adherence to all safety requirements including proper use of PPE
- Work overtime to maintain customer requirements
- Fit parts and hold tolerance to within .0005-.002
- Produce quality parts in an efficient manner
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Minimum 3-5 years of machining experience on Horizontal CNC milling equipment
- FANUC and Haas Control knowledge a plus
- Ability to read and write G & M code and edit programs at the machine
- Must be familiar with G-code programming formats
- Blueprint reading skills
- Able to setup and run concurrent jobs on machines
- Able to use standard measuring equipment such as micrometers, comparators
- Ability to hold tight tolerances
- Strong Shop math skills
- Able to work to metric dimensions
- Experience with Lean manufacturing principles and ISO quality systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as invoices and department manuals
