Job Description

COLOR HELPER
Rotating Schedule 
6:00 pm - 6:00 am
$14.00 per hour
 
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
 
  • Operate the 6-position coloring line and single position coloring line to cover colored fiber
  • Maintain finished product
  • Set up the line in accordance with work instructions
  • Set up and operate all necessary equipment
  • Pulls fiber, handles ink, handles die, handles quartz tubes, loads raw fiber reels, unloads, and correctly identifies finished products
  • Performs quality checks on colored fiber to include correct diameters, and wipe test
  • Maintains a clean work area in the coloring department 
  • Responsible for the compliance with quality standards
  • Share responsibility for the quality of the final product
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS
 
  • High school diploma or GED required 
  • Must be able to distinguish between colors  
  • Employee has up to ninety (90) days from date they start the job to demonstrate their ability to learn job
  • Duties require setting up machine, according to Work procedures, housekeeping
  • Basic knowledge in reading, writing, and simple math required 
  • Must be trained by a qualified instructor, follow Work procedures, and understand ISO requirements
  • Must be able to stand on concrete floor
  • Physical effort exerted when moving raw fiber boxes, & cases of ink.  Otherwise, light work sitting /standing
