CUSTOMER SERVICE/SHIPPING CLERK
Monday - Friday
8:00 am - 5:00 pm
$14.00 - $15.00 per hour
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Complete all orders ready for shipment in Great Plains Accounting Software
- Operate shipping scale, UPS/Fed-Ex computer
- Work closely with customer service, Q/C, tumbling and manufacturing
- Know disposition of parts and material
- Inventory adjustments in Great Plains software
- Complete International shipping paperwork
- Communicate with Ground and Truck Representatives
- Review all shipping instructions and procedures
- Type bills of lading and call trucks when needed
- Maintain proper records of all orders, shortages and reruns
- Assist on follow up requests from customers service
- Follow up on late or HOT orders
- Pack product or file when needed
- Insure all orders are shipped on dates specified by order entry
- Must understand and adhere to all company rules and safety procedures
- General duties to be accomplished but not limited to the above
- Reports to Production Manager
- Computer Order Entry, Inventory etc.
- Typing, filing, etc.
- Estimating / Quoting M S grommets & small parts
- Sending out samples, brochures and catalogs
- Contact customers obtaining orders, discussing requirements, pricing, specs, etc.
- Handle all incoming requests for quote on molded parts
- Interface with production, quality control, chemist, manufacturing, accounting and any other personnel, as needed, to be sure orders and special request are handle as needed
- Establish positive relationship with Major Accounts
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 1 years of shipping experience
- Have math and typing skills
- Good organizational and computer skills
- High school diploma / Computer Certificates
- Good communication skills, written and oral + Computer skills
- Strong organizational and computer skills-Microsoft Office and Great Plains Accounting System a plus, but not mandatory.
