HR OFFICE CLERK/ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Monday – Friday
7:00 am - 4:00 pm
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Create, file and processes all hard copies of employee personnel, audits.
- Ensures the completion of pre-employment screening by coordinating in Workday- physicals & drug screens, as well as conducting pre-employment background checks.
- Create new hire packets, agenda’s and first day communications.
- Assists with HR related initiatives such as the United Way campaign, the Wellness Program, maintenance of the electronic communication system, and the break room bulletin boards.
- Acts as the site Activities Committee, which plans employee events periodically throughout the year with the help of other volunteers, and catering.
- Daily telephone and personal contact with both fellow employees and temporary employees; Assist with front door visitor coordination.
- Temp timesheets/invoice match approval process between HR & Accounting
- Assists with maintenance of online employee records through Workday: benefit details/term letters
- Record scrap sales from Premier Metal into spreadsheet
- Prepare invoice for employee scrap purchases
- Code AP invoices (without a purchase order) with department and GL account and route for approval
- Support safety department as needed
- Other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of one year of experience in a human resource position with an emphasis in recruiting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
- Ability to work with confidential information
- Exhibit strong communication skills, both orally and written.
HIGHLY QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL ALSO POSSESS
- 1 year of experience in Human Resources
- High School degree and/or Associate’s Degree preferred
- Professional ability to learn and master in-house computer applications
- High attention to detail
