Job Description

ESTIMATOR
Monday-Thursday, half-day Friday 
6:30 am - 4:30 pm; 6:30 am - 12:00pm
DOE
 
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Review construction documents and understand scope of work in the steel industry to produce material take-off and data entry.
  • Maintain knowledge of competitive advantages in the industry to aid bidding process.
  • Resolve cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
  • Obtain accurate quotes for materials and systems to establish accurate cost estimates. 
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Experience in Structural Steel estimating.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Proficient in Computer skills, such as Word, Excel, AutoCad, and Strumis.
  • Able to read and understand blueprints and contract plans.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the steel industry.
