FABRICATION MACHINE OPERATOR

3:00 pm - 11:00 pm
$18.00 per hour
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Set up and operate fabrication equipment including press brakes, punch machines, mills, lathes, and CNC machines
- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency
- Read and follow blueprints, drawings, and work orders to ensure accurate production
- Measure and inspect parts using rulers, tape measures, calipers, and squares
- Perform manual layout and mark materials for cutting, bending, or shaping
- Cut, grind, bend, and shape metal, plastic, or other materials to specifications
- Use hand tools and equipment such as grinders, sanders, saws, and drill presses
- Heat materials with hand torches when needed for forming and adjustments
- Align and assemble components according to blueprint specifications
- Replace worn tools and maintain proper machine function
- Check and refill machine fluids as needed
- Load and secure materials manually or with hoists and fixtures
- Create templates for repetitive tasks to maintain consistency and quality
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or GED
- 1–3 years of fabrication or machine operation experience (or equivalent training)
- Comfortable reading blueprints, work orders, and technical documents
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Experience using measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Solid problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment
- Able to follow written and verbal instructions
- Capable of working independently and staying productive
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
