Job Description

FILL OPERATOR / MECHANIC
Monday - Friday 
2:00 pm - 10:00 pm
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Operate, monitor, and maintain production equipment upstream of and including the checkweigher. 
  • Perform equipment setup, cleaning, and product changeovers. 
  • Set up and adjust fill heads, valve droppers, crimpers, gassing stations, and related production equipment. 
  • Monitor fill weights, gas weights, and equipment performance to ensure product quality. 
  • Perform minor troubleshooting and make necessary adjustments during production runs. 
  • Verify proper materials, components, and product specifications are being used. 
  • Assist with line washouts and equipment cleaning between product runs. 
  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently. 
  • Follow all safety, quality, and housekeeping procedures. 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or GED preferred. 
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred. 
  • Knowledge of production equipment operation and setup. 
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities. 
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control.
