6:00 am ( 10-12 hour shifts )
$16.00 - $20.00 per hour, DOE
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Operate the bunging machine (ring loader) to secure a plastic bag around the rectum of slaughtered animals (e.g., cows or pigs).
- Ensure correct placement of the rubber ring to tightly seal the bag and prevent contamination.
- Inspect and verify each bunging operation for accuracy and proper seal.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work area and equipment.
- Follow all safety and food hygiene protocols during the bunging process.
- Communicate any machine malfunctions or process concerns to the supervisor immediately.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Must have previous bunger experience
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50-75 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure contamination prevention.
- Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Willingness to wear required PPE and follow all safety guidelines.
- Previous experience in meat processing or similar industrial work preferred but not required.
