LAYING-MEAT PROCESSOR

6:00 am ( 10-12 hour shifts )
$16.00 - $20.00 per hour, DOE
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Perform ante mortem inspections to ensure animal health and welfare prior to slaughter
- Humanely stun and bleed animals according to safety and industry standards
- Conduct skinning procedures with precision to maintain carcass integrity
- Carry out evisceration processes while ensuring compliance with food safety protocols
- Prepare final carcass for inspection, cutting, and packaging
- Operate chilling equipment to properly cool carcasses for further processing
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tools, work area, and equipment
- Follow safety procedures and report any irregularities or hazards
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Prior experience in laying- meat processing or related industry
- Knowledge of animal welfare, food safety, and sanitation standards
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow strict procedures
- Comfortable working around raw meat and biological materials
- Willingness to adhere to PPE requirements and safety protocols
