SITDOWN FORKLIFT OPERATOR
Tuesday - Saturday
10:00 am - 6:00 pm
$15.50 per hour

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned places
  • Locate and move stock of products for storage or shipment
  • Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
  • Check loads are secure by using proper lock loads inside the truck
  • Place identification labels to pallets or mark them with identifying information.
  • Practices safe and secure environment, reporting to a supervisor any observed issues (i.e. food safety, physical safety, environment, equipment)
  • Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance. Check water levels of the equipment batteries.
  • Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs
  • Comply with company policies and legal guidelines
  • Practices and observes Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Meet the requirements of HACCP, Food Safety Standard (BRC), FSMA and C-TPAT guidelines
  • Stack empty pallets
  • Transport raw materials to production workstations
  • Repack and inspect product
  • Preforms other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • 1 year of experience related to the industry or combination of 3 years’ experience
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • Proven experience as forklift operator
  • Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment
  • High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment
  • Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records
  • Valid certification to operate forklifts
  • Having good eye-hand-foot coordination
  • Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights
  • Knowledgeable about the operation of office equipment (computer, fax, copier and other office equipment)
  • Ability to work various shifts to meet the needs of the business
  • Able to work overtime if required by company
  • Must report to work on time and on your schedule
  • Able to make decisions and work well with others
  • Work under pressure of time and deadlines
  • Knowledgeable about Warehouse Management Systems, RF devices, warehouse inventory controls and records of transactions.
  • Must be able to follow either written or oral instructions to perform assigned activities
  • Excellent skills to handle product in rack systems, preferable experienced in dynamic rack systems
  • Excellent shills to drive stand-up reach forklifts
