$17.00 - $18.00 per hour
JOB SUMMARY
The Forklift Operator will operate an industrial forklift truck to move product around the production facility and on and off trucks.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Identifies and transports requested materials to and from various locations
- Obtains orders and then identifies, verifies, and transports requested materials accordingly
- Applies understanding of machine loading capacity and basic order of operations
- Uses protective materials and strapping equipment to protect and secure product
- Reports any problems with materials or equipment to manager/supervisor
- Manages and stacks materials in designated stock locations throughout the manufacturing process
- Inspects equipment daily and reports any mechanical or operational defects to their manager/ supervisor
- Performs other related duties as requested
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- High School/GED diploma preferred
- Pass forklift driving training program or demonstrate safe handling of forklift in an on-site test
- Must be able to move and lift up to 50-pounds.
