BOX TRUCK DRIVER
Monday - Friday
6:00 am - 2:30 pm
$19.00 per hour
 
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Operate a box truck or bobtail vehicle to transport goods along designated routes, following all traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Load and unload products by hand or with assistance, ensuring accuracy and securement of all items.
  • Review and verify shipping documents and delivery instructions before departure.
  • Deliver goods to customer locations on time while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Collect delivery confirmations and signatures; return documentation to the shipping office daily.
  • Accurately complete driver logs, timecards, trip sheets, and safety/quality reports.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections (pre-trip and post-trip) including checks on oil, fuel, fluids, and tire pressure.
  • Report vehicle maintenance issues or safety concerns to the Shipping Supervisor immediately.
  • Maintain a clean and safe vehicle, both inside and out.
  • Assist warehouse staff with loading, organizing, or other tasks as needed.
  • Follow all company safety, housekeeping, and operational procedures.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver’s license (CDL not required unless otherwise stated).
  • Must meet applicable DOT physical and medical qualifications.
  • Must pass a substance abuse screening per company policy.
  • Prior experience with delivery vehicles and logistics or warehouse operations preferred.
  • Basic math and measurement skills; ability to read and understand shipping documents.
  • Experience in corrugated packaging or manufacturing is a plus.
  • Knowledge of metro delivery routes and traffic patterns preferred.
  • Forklift certification or previous material handling equipment experience a plus.
  • Must be able to lift/move up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally.
  • Good manual dexterity, depth perception, and ability to drive for extended periods.
  • Ability to load and unload goods safely and efficiently.
