Job Description

MATERIAL MOVER
On Call- as needed 
$15.00 per hour
 
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
 
  • Perform general stocking labor including moving freight, stock, and other materials
  • Determines work assignments and material or equipment needs based on written work orders or oral instructions
  • Transports freight, stock, and other materials by hand or using trucks to and from various locations
  • Sorts cargo before loading and unloading
  • Loads and unloads cargo using appropriate tools
  • Uses bracing, padding, or strapping to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported
  • Stacks cargo where directed using pallets or cargo boards
  • Transport tools and supplies from storage unit to work area and returns them after use
  • Uses daily production sheets or work tickets to record the number of units moved or managed
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS
 
  • Ability to follow directions
  • Ability to handle materials and equipment in a responsible manner
  • Must be able to lift 60 pounds
