5:45am – 2:15pm mandatory overtime and weekends as needed
$15.00 per hour
The HLU Operator prepares laminates and operates equipment and materials associated with the hand layup area process.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- An HLU Operator loads reinforcing medium and resin or premix charges of prescribed amounts onto molding equipment and carries out prescribed molding cycles.
- Makes minor adjustments to equipment, charge and/or cycle to obtain a quality product.
- Unloads the part from the HLU table/mold, ensuring the part meets quality standards.
- Counts, measures, mixes, and weighs accurately of resins and catalysts.
- Maintains quality, safety, and service-oriented individuals.
- Preparation of molding equipment and materials for daily operations.
- Prepares reinforcing medium and resin for HLU.
- Understand mixes and material identification.
- Performs proper housekeeping within his/her designated area daily.
- Proper and safe handling of power tools (worm drive saw, drill mixer) when needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Effective verbal and written communications in English preferred.
- Basic reading and writing competencies in English preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, instructions, and manuals.
- Ability to organize and manage time effectively.
- Possess the ability to utilize the training provided to make sound and safe judgements.
- Basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
- Must be able to use hand trucks and carts to push and pull loads > 100 lbs.
- Must have ability to lift and carry loads ≥ 50 lbs.
- Must have ability to safely mount and dismount forklifts.
- Position requires dexterity of hands and fingers to use hand/power tools and fasten items.
- Requires learning/knowledge of hazardous material handling.
