HUMAN RESOURCE SPECIALIST
Monday - Friday 
8:00 am - 5:00 pm 
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
 
 
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
 
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism when handling employee and company information. 
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring qualified candidates. 
  • Coordinate onboarding activities, including employment verification, background checks, drug screenings, pre-employment physicals, and new hire orientation. 
  • Maintain accurate employee records, attendance tracking, PTO/vacation balances, and personnel documentation. 
  • Administer employee benefits enrollment and related benefit programs. 
  • Prepare and process documentation required for bi-weekly payroll. 
  • Generate and maintain weekly HR and workforce efficiency reports. 
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and company policies. 
  • Develop, implement, and enforce HR policies and procedures. 
  • Partner with management to address employee relations matters, performance concerns, corrective actions, and disciplinary documentation. 
  • Support employee performance evaluations and development initiatives. 
  • Assist with workplace safety programs and regulatory compliance efforts.
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS
 
  • Minimum 5 years of Human Resources experience required. 
  • Manufacturing industry experience required. 
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, payroll, and performance management. 
  • Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws, regulations, and HR compliance requirements. 
  • Experience administering benefits, maintaining employee records, and processing timekeeping and payroll functions. 
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, workplace safety programs, SDS documentation, and compliance standards. 
  • Experience with ERP systems, HRIS platforms, and timekeeping software. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism. 
  • Experience supporting workplace safety initiatives and compliance programs preferred. 
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills preferred. 
  • OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
