POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Payroll & Benefits Administrator to manage accurate payroll processing and oversee employee benefits administration. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance, maintaining employee records, and serving as a key point of contact for payroll and benefits-related questions.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Process bi-weekly and/or weekly payroll accurately and on time using ADP systems
- Administer employee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), and other voluntary benefits
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee payroll and benefits questions, resolving issues professionally and confidentially
- Manage benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations; ensure accurate data entry and system updates
- Coordinate open enrollment, including employee communication, system testing, audits, and reporting
- Support and participate in ADP projects, including system implementations, upgrades, testing, audits, and process improvements
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll and benefits regulations
- Reconcile payroll, benefits invoices, deductions, and reports; investigate and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare payroll, benefits, and compliance reports for management as needed
- Assist with new hire onboarding and offboarding related to payroll and benefits setup
- Maintain accurate employee records and documentation in HRIS and payroll systems
- Support general HR/Payroll Generalist functions as needed, including audits, policy administration, and employee data maintenance
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and external vendors to ensure seamless payroll and benefits operations
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2+ years of experience in payroll and benefits administration or HR/payroll generalist role
- Hands-on experience with ADP payroll systems (Workforce Now, Vantage, or similar) required
- Experience supporting or participating in ADP-related projects (implementation, upgrades, conversions, or process improvements) strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of employee benefits administration, including enrollments, deductions, and compliance
- Strong understanding of payroll laws, tax regulations, and benefits compliance requirements
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to handle confidential information
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain payroll and benefits information clearly to employees
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
