Job Description

INDUSTRIAL PAINTER
Monday - Friday 
6:00 am - 6:00 pm 
Pay based on experience

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
 
  • Follow all company safety / environmental policies and practices
  • Pressure wash and prep parts for coating
  • Prepare and mix paint, must be able to use measurement equipment such as viscosity cups
  • Must be able to work well with others and work independently
  • Set-up and maintain work areas and operate painting equipment in accordance to safety procedures
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Maintain clean work areas, tool repair, and equipment inventory
  • Strips masking tape over surfaces not to be painted
  • Any other duties as assigned by Paint Lead and or Management
  • Must be available to work overtime, weekends and holidays as required
  • Ability to follow both written and oral instructions
  • Reports directly to paint lead
  • Ability to drive fork truck to move parts in and out of paint / prep bay
  • Ability to differentiate between colors
  • Ability to work on multiple priorities with frequent interruptions
  • Ability to use hand and power tools and equipment
  • Strong communication skills
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS
 
  • High school or equivalent
  • Industrial and/or Automotive Painting experience required 
  • 3 years of assembly experience
  • 1-2 years of electrical experience
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects with or without accommodations
  • Ability to use forklift
  • Work independently as well as in teams
  • Ability to route and connect electrical harnesses
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints
  • Able to recognize, own and act on assembly problems or errors and recommend corrections
  • Must be proficient in accuracy and attention to detail
