INVENTORY SPECIALIST
Monday – Thursday
7:30 am – 4:30 pm
Friday
7:30 am – 2:00 pm
$17.00 - $23.00 per hour, DOE
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Maintain consistent stock levels; reorder items within authorized limits.
- Track and update accurate inventory counts for ordering purposes.
- Establish and maintain alternate suppliers for high-demand items.
- Review inventory reports to identify items for automatic replenishment.
- Provide regular inventory status updates to the purchasing/inventory control manager.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors.
- Record all incoming and outgoing shipments accurately.
- Oversee and maintain inventory database/software; assist with system upgrades as needed.
- Conduct regular spot checks and assist with full physical inventory audits.
- Operate forklift as needed to move or organize inventory.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Strong communication skills with internal teams, vendors, and customers.
- Solid understanding of inventory control procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and Excel.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently.
- Strong customer service and vendor relationship-building skills.
- Basic math proficiency.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience with computerized inventory systems required.
- Forklift operator certification preferred.
- Prior experience in receiving, picking, and shipping required.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
