IT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Monday - Friday, mandatory overtime as needed.
Train on 6:00 am - 3:00 pm.
Then transition to support schedule:
2:00 am - 10 am or
3:00 am - 11:00 am
$19.00 per hour
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Deliver and setup computer hardware. This includes moving of computers, monitors, scanners, printers, and other related hardware from the setup or storage area to the associate’s work area.
- Disassembling old computer hardware in the associate’s area and setting up the new computer hardware. New computer hardware that is a PC requires the Installation of printer queues and printer drivers after setup. Also, the PC setup requires logging the associate in and giving a brief explanation on how the new computer works. Old computer hardware is completely removed from the associate’s area for either disposal or storage.
- Responsible for the pick-up of miscellaneous personal computer hardware for disposal. This includes moving the disposal computer hardware to the Buildings and Grounds Department for salvage.
- Assist end users with setting up printers and troubleshooting printer issues.
- Assist with cable and line drops.
- Print and maintain barcodes.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- High School diploma or two-year degree in related area required.
- 1-2 years previous experience preferred, however, candidates with less experience may be considered if the candidate possesses strong knowledge of computer hardware.
- Experience with Microsoft Office is essential.
- Telephone etiquette and the ability to interface with users and staff is required.
- Must able to handle a fast-paced work environment.
- Must be comfortable working at tall heights, in a lift, several feet in the air.
- Must be available to work rotating on-call schedule for after-hours issues.
