PACKAGING OPERATOR
Monday - Friday, mandatory overtime as needed
2:00 pm - 10:30 pm
$17.25 per hour
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Operate packaging equipment safely and efficiently throughout assigned shifts.
- Follow all safety procedures and report safety concerns immediately to the Packaging Lead or Shift Manager.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the packaging area per factory standards.
- Ensure compliance with all hygiene protocols and environmental conditions.
- Monitor and maintain product quality; conduct required quality checks and report deviations.
- Stop operations if conditions present a risk to safety, quality, or equipment.
- Communicate product contamination or quality issues promptly to supervisory staff.
- Support maintenance teams during planned and unplanned equipment downtimes.
- Participate in shift handovers and collaborate with team members for smooth operation transitions.
- Contribute to a culture of teamwork, trust, and mutual respect within the shift.
- Start, run, and stop equipment according to production schedules and standard operating procedures.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and escalate as needed.
- Ensure timely attendance at the assigned workstation and uphold ethical conduct.
- Build products to specification and support changeovers as required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must be able to climb ladders, access bins, and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Must possess basic computer skills.
- Prior machine operator experience required.
- Capable of lifting 50+ lbs repetitively.
- Able to distinguish between different colors.
