Job Description

MECHANICAL ASSEMBLER
Monday - Thursday  
6:00 am - 4:30 pm
Friday 
6:00 am - 2:30 pm
$22.00 - $24.00 per hour
 
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
 
  • Assemble mechanical components, including valve actuators, from subassemblies to completed units per technical drawings and work instructions.
  • Perform manual and automated assembly of mechanical and electrical parts.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and machinery for assembly and disassembly.
  • Inspect and test completed units for fit, function, and quality.
  • Follow assembly schedules and maintain materials inventory.
  • Comply with all safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot minor assembly issues and defects.
  • Keep work area clean and organized per safety guidelines.
  • Record daily production data and report issues to supervisor.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS
 
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in mechanical assembly, preferably with valve actuators or similar systems.
  • Proficient with hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Familiarity with measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
  • Certification or training in mechanical assembly is a plus.
  • Experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, or electrical systems preferred.
  • Knowledge of industrial safety practices required.
