MACHINE OPERATOR
GRITLINE
Monday – Friday
5:45 am – 2:15 pm, mandatory overtime as needed
$18.00 per hour
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Position requires the ability to count, measure, and weigh materials accurately.
- Requires heavy lifting daily of 50 lbs. and up to 100 lbs.
- Position requires quality-oriented, safety-minded, and service-oriented individuals.
- Requires learning/knowledge of hazardous material handling.
- Preparation of Gritline equipment for daily operations.
- The gritline operators prepare grit mixes, sealers, and correct grit types and amounts into batches and then proceed with the proper gritting cycles.
- Make minor adjustments to equipment, and/ or cycle to obtain a quality product.
- The gritline operator ensures that all that all the products meet quality standards.
- This position must learn and understand the company’s mixes and material identification.
- Housekeeping in and around equipment, buildings on a daily basis and wherever it is required.
- Position requires learning all SOP’s pertaining to this area for individual files.
- Other duties may be assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to use basic math skills such as add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure using whole numbers.
- Ability to use measuring tapes and other recording instruments is required.
- Must be willing and able to obtain internal forklift qualifications and CCT qualified when chosen.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
