Job Description

QUALITY CONTROL
Monday - Thursday
5:30 am - 4:00 pm 
$18.50 per hour
 
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Inspect incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards
  • Perform dimensional, visual, and functional inspections using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, height gauges, and gauges
  • Interpret blueprints, work orders, and quality documentation to ensure accurate inspection criteria are applied
  • Document inspection results, nonconformances, and corrective actions in quality systems or inspection reports
  • Identify defects, trends, or process deviations and communicate findings to production, engineering, and quality leadership
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) efforts
  • Verify first-article inspections and assist with setup approvals as required
  • Ensure proper handling, labeling, and segregation of nonconforming materials
  • Maintain a clean, organized inspection area in accordance with safety and 5S standards
  • Support audits and compliance with ISO, customer, and internal quality requirements
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality awareness, and continuous improvement throughout the facility
JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or metal fabrication quality role preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T symbols, and inspection specifications
  • Proficiency with precision measuring instruments
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes such as press brake, CNC machining, welding, or assembly is a plus
