Inspect incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards
Perform dimensional, visual, and functional inspections using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, height gauges, and gauges
Interpret blueprints, work orders, and quality documentation to ensure accurate inspection criteria are applied
Document inspection results, nonconformances, and corrective actions in quality systems or inspection reports
Identify defects, trends, or process deviations and communicate findings to production, engineering, and quality leadership
Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) efforts
Verify first-article inspections and assist with setup approvals as required
Ensure proper handling, labeling, and segregation of nonconforming materials
Maintain a clean, organized inspection area in accordance with safety and 5S standards
Support audits and compliance with ISO, customer, and internal quality requirements
Promote a culture of safety, quality awareness, and continuous improvement throughout the facility
JOB REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED required
Previous experience in a manufacturing or metal fabrication quality role preferred
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T symbols, and inspection specifications
Proficiency with precision measuring instruments
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Understanding of manufacturing processes such as press brake, CNC machining, welding, or assembly is a plus
