MACHINE OPERATOR
Monday - Friday
12:00 pm – 10:30 pm, mandatory overtime
$15.87 per hour
Must be able to train on day shift
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Operate machinery and equipment safely, including overhead cranes, walk-lifts, and die carts.
- Use measurement tools such as decimals, fractions, calipers, micrometers, scales, and fixed gauges.
- Follow quality procedures and help maintain plant quality goals.
- Interpret engineering drawings, job layouts, and setup instructions.
- Adjust and install safety equipment; train others on safe operation.
- Set up and operate compound and progressive dies, including spacing and clearance adjustments.
- Determine when tooling needs maintenance.
- Meet production goals within designated timeframes.
- Complete all other tasks as assigned with limited supervision.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Strong math skills and ability to use basic measurements.
- Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Accurate completion of time sheets and production reports.
- Flexible to work overtime and different shifts with minimal notice.
- Reliable safety, attendance, and performance record.
- Ability to identify parts by catalog number and recognize product defects.
- Ability to meet press department production and inspection standards.
- Must lift/move loads of 40 lbs. or more and apply torque up to 125 ft. lbs.
- Minimum six months of draw or stamping press experience preferred.
- Mechanical Aptitude test may be required and used in evaluation.
- Must complete forklift and hand lift safety training within 90 days.
