MAINTENANCE MECHANIC

9:00 am - 6:00 pm
$13.00 - $18.00 per hour, DOE
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on all production equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and implement preventive maintenance measures.
- Handle general upkeep and maintenance tasks for the facility, including plumbing, carpentry, and electrical repairs.
- Ensure the building is in safe and operational condition, addressing any maintenance needs promptly.
- Utilize welding and cutting skills to repair and fabricate components as needed.
- Assist the supervisor in installing and adjusting molds in presses, ensuring precise alignment and functionality.
- Operate and maintain air compressors, steam boilers, hydraulic pumps, and other specialized equipment.
- Perform electrical maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems and components.
- Safely operate a forklift to transport materials and equipment within the facility.
- Lift and carry heavy objects weighing up to 75 lbs as needed for maintenance and repair tasks.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or similar role in an industrial or manufacturing setting is preferred
- Familiarity with maintenance and repair of production equipment, machinery, and building systems.
- Proficient in welding, cutting, and fabricating techniques.
- Knowledge of air compressors, steam boilers, hydraulic systems, and electrical maintenance.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols.
- Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently, following all safety guidelines.
- Capable of lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 75 lbs.
