Job Description

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN 
Monday - Friday 
6:00 AM - 3:00 PM
$18.38 - $19.85 per hour
 
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance to keep equipment and facilities operating efficiently
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical issues on production equipment
  • Repair or replace components including gears, shafts, belts, and pulleys
  • Complete work orders accurately and in a timely manner
  • Conduct predictive and preventative maintenance inspections to improve equipment performance
  • Rebuild and overhaul machinery following manufacturer specifications
  • Use manuals, schematics, and technical guides to support repairs and modifications
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities in the system
  • Monitor and manage inventory of parts and maintenance supplies
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in a clean work environment
  • Provide guidance and support to junior technicians as needed
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2–5 years of experience in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to use hand tools, measuring devices, and diagnostic equipment
  • Basic knowledge of PLCs and automated/robotic systems
  • Experience performing preventative maintenance and equipment repairs independently
  • Familiarity with OSHA standards (LOTO, Arc Flash, working at heights)
  • Ability to operate or willingness to learn powered equipment (forklifts, hoists, etc.)
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Reliable, adaptable, and self-motivated
 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • CMRT or similar maintenance certification
  • Experience with vibration analysis, ultrasonic testing, or lubrication systems
  • Lean manufacturing, 5S, or Six Sigma experience
