MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Monday - Friday
6:30 am - 3:00 pm, mandatory overtime as needed
$25.00 per hour
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Troubleshoots and performs mechanical repairs and planned, preventive and predictive maintenance of all equipment associated with operations.
- Installs machinery, pipes, structural steel, etc.
- Maintain correct stockroom inventory and keep orderly.
- Interfaces with maintenance management system(s) including printing work orders, inputting information, etc.
- Operate an angle grinder, hammer drill, and other powered hand tools.
- Operate man lifts, forklifts, or other construction related equipment.
- Operate plasma, oxy-acetylene, and cutting wheels.
- Perform minor metal fabrication and pipe fitting.
- Weld using Tig, Mig, stick methods.
- Replace gear boxes, motors, drive belts, drive chains, shafts, and other mechanical transmission components.
- Rig and move equipment or machines in a safe manner.
- Assists with and/or performs minor electrical maintenance.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3 to 5 years of Mechanical Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. (or applicable Mechanical Technical Degree)
- Experience in plant safety systems such as Confined Space entry, Hot Work permitting, and Lockout/Tagout of industrial equipment.
- Basic skills in areas of industrial mechanical equipment troubleshooting and repairs, pipe fitting, minor metal fabrication including welding, and proper use of mechanical tools.
- Ability to use computer - basic computer skills.
- Experience with a fork truck preferred.
- Experience in Mig/Tig and Stick Method welding
- Familiarity with natural gas safety systems and associated safety equipment.
