ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and modify PLC programs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens) on production machinery to resolve operational issues, using laptops to go online with PLC systems to identify I/O issues, faulty logic, or communication failures.
- Troubleshoot, program, and replace Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), Servo Drives, and DC drives to correct issues with conveyor speeds, robotic movements, and motor performance.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and install high-voltage 3-phase power systems (480V) and low-voltage control circuits (24VDC), including motor controls, starters, and sensors.
- Repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, solenoid valves, gearboxes, bearings, and conveyor systems.
- Perform complex PMs and predictive maintenance tasks (e.g., thermal imaging of electrical panels, vibration analysis) to proactively identify potential component failures.
- Act as a technical leader, assisting Maintenance Managers with project management and training junior technicians to improve their knowledge of automation.
- Strict adherence to LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), Arc Flash, and OSHA safety standards
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 5–10 years of manufacturing maintenance experience required, with at least 3+ years in a senior or advanced role.
- Associate’s degree in Mechatronics, Electronic Engineering Technology, or Industrial Automation preferred; High school diploma required.
- PLC: Strong proficiency with Allen-Bradley (RSLogix 5000/Studio 5000) or Siemens (SIMATIC Step 7).
- Electrical: Expertise in industrial electrical systems, reading schematics, and using multimeters
- Drives: Hands-on experience with VFDs and servos.
