Job Description

MATERIAL COORDINATOR 
Monday - Friday 
8:00 am - 5:00 pm 
$20.00 per hour

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 

  • Coordinate the flow and movement of raw materials and packaging throughout the facility
  • Work with internal departments to ensure materials are staged and available for production
  • Communicate with vendors and external partners regarding supply needs and delivery timing
  • Create and maintain shipping schedules based on production plans and material availability
  • Monitor inventory levels and reconcile on-hand materials with system usage
  • Track material consumption, scrap risk, and maintain weekly material status updates
  • Ensure FIFO practices are followed and materials are stored properly and safely
  • Manage internal/external transfers and return leftover materials to storage after production
  • Load/unload trucks and move materials throughout the facility using appropriate equipment
  • Support a culture of safety, quality, and operational excellence
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or 3–5 years of relevant experience in a similar role
  • Mandatory experience in sourcing, supply chain, and/or procurement within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Intermediate or above Excel skills required, including pivot tables
  • 3–5 years of supply planning, procurement, sourcing, or materials coordination experience
  • 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
  • Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills
  • Forklift experience required; OSHA forklift certification preferred
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs and climb stairs/ladders daily
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
