Job Description

MATERIAL HANDLER
Monday - Friday 
8:00 am -5:00 pm
$18.00 per hour
 
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Review production schedules or requisitions to determine materials needed 
  • Move materials between receiving and production areas 
  • Sort and store materials according to established procedures 
  • Fulfill material requisitions accurately and efficiently 
  • Open crates and containers to verify contents 
  • Count and record incoming and outgoing materials 
  • Enter receiving and distribution data into the ERP system
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or GED; 1–3 months of related experience and/or training preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • Lift up to 50 pounds unassisted on a regular basis 
  • Forklift operation experience required; certification must be obtained 
  • Read and interpret procedure manuals, blueprints, safety rules, and maintenance instructions 
  • Perform basic math calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve practical problems in a fast-paced environment 
  • Follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions accurately
