PACKAGING/TOLLING LINE WORKER

5:00 am - 3:30 pm
$12.00 - $15.00 per hour
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Loads, unloads, and moves materials within the designated job area
performing any combination of following duties - Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or
containers to be moved - Opens containers, using various hand tools
- Loads unloads materials onto or from pallets, boxes, trays, racks, and shelves by hand
- Installs stretch wrap, tape bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit, using hand tools.
- Conveys materials to or from storage or work sites to designated area, using hand truck, forklift, or other device
- Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet
- Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, Pallets, or other containers
- Removes samples of materials, labels with identifying information, and takes samples to laboratory for analysis
- Lifts objects by hand and cleans work area, machines, and equipment, using broom, rags, and cleaning compounds, to assist machine operators
- Makes simple adjustments or repairs, like realigning wrap or etc. using hand tools.
- Assembles cartons to contain products
- Operates forklift to assist loading and moving materials products.
- May occasionally Bale Plastic, Corrugate, or Poly bags as determined by the Department Supervisor
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Know proper lifting techniques
- Operate Forklift, pallet jack, hand truck and other equipment utilized in the production area.
- Read and Write English
- Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Communicate effectively both orally and written
- Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships
- with others. Assign and review the work of others.
- Maintain records and prepare reports related to assigned tasks.
- Observe health and safety regulations
- Production and Warehouse environment
- Regular exposure to fumes, dust and odors
- Lift 20 to 50 pounds several times an hour on a daily basis.
