PARTS COUNTER SALES

8:00 am - 5:00 pm
$15.00 - $17.00 per hour, DOE
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Retrieve requested parts from inventory or order as needed.
- Accurately document and track special-order parts.
- Assist customers in selecting appropriate parts for repairs.
- Follow up on special orders and notify customers upon arrival.
- Place orders for out-of-stock items and process purchase orders.
- Handle phone inquiries and support special orders professionally.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked parts counter.
- Communicate part information, warranty policies, and solutions clearly.
- Process transactions including cash, credit, and returns accurately.
- Issue credits for returned parts/cores as needed.
- Ensure prompt and efficient turnaround for customer part needs.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and coworkers.
- Complete required documentation per company standards.
- Follow all attendance, timekeeping, and work procedure policies.
- Assist with inventory control and restocking as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to assist a wide range of customers professionally and patiently.
- Familiarity with heavy-duty, agricultural, or automotive parts and repair processes; strong computer and internet navigation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain a clean, efficient workspace.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills to explain technical details.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and offer effective solutions.
- Able to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
