JOB SUMMARY
The Production Support Technician provides technical and logistical support for product quality assurance, customer assistance, and shipping/receiving operations. The role requires a commitment to maintaining quality standards and ensuring customer satisfaction through technical troubleshooting, effective communication, and adherence to established procedures.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Perform QA testing and reporting on devices and accessories as required.
- Assist customers with technical issues via phone, chat, or email.
- Issue Return Material Authorizations (RMA) and determine replacement needs based on customer requirements, both domestically and internationally.
- Handle customer feedback and complaints in compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Receive and process returned materials as per standard procedures.
- Provide general customer support as needed.
- Conduct receiving inspections and document incoming shipments in accordance with standard operating procedures and work instructions.
- Coordinate device testing with senior QA Technicians.
- Test accessories as required by incoming work instructions.
- Distribute packages to appropriate areas or individuals.
- Perform tasks following the quality management system standards.
- Assemble kits and maintain inventory levels of finished goods.
- Participate in the company’s monthly inventory process.
- Acquire a working knowledge of global medical device regulations, quality management systems, and internal computer systems.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the product area.
- Discard office and warehouse trash daily.
- Assist with general office, grounds, and equipment maintenance.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor or management.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or training preferred.
- Experience in QA testing, customer support, or shipping/logistics is a plus.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) for customer interactions.
- Ability to follow detailed standard operating procedures.
- Basic understanding of inventory management systems and quality management principles.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs.
- Capacity to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods.
- Familiarity with global medical device regulations and quality management systems is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned.
