JOB SUMMARY
The Production Manager coordinates facility activities across all departments to ensure efficient operations, optimal product quality, and compliance with safety and food safety standards. This role leads production scheduling, supervises staff, and partners closely with leadership to achieve company goals.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Plan, organize, and oversee daily operations across all departments to ensure efficient workflow and production performance.
- Create and manage production schedules, determining product quantities, specifications, and delivery timelines to meet customer and operational needs.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop blending, production, and sanitation schedules aligned with quality and safety goals.
- Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software to optimize production flow and material utilization.
- Review production reports, analyze data, and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and prevent downtime.
- Ensure strict compliance with all Human Safety, Quality, and Food Safety (HACCP) standards and documentation requirements.
- Inspect equipment to verify performance and coordinate maintenance or repairs as needed.
- Lead and conduct department and shift transition meetings to ensure consistent communication across teams.
- Hire, train, coach, and evaluate production staff; implement disciplinary actions when appropriate.
- Maintain accurate attendance and production records, communicating updates to Payroll and HR.
- Promote a clean, organized, and safe work environment consistent with company policies and procedures.
- Operate machinery or assist in production as needed to meet targets.
- Partner with operations and customer service teams to resolve client concerns promptly and effectively.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Production Manager in a manufacturing environment.
- Industry Background:
- Must have bottling or food manufacturing experience.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or technical training preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in MS Excel, Outlook, Word, and inventory software.
- Experience with WMS and ERP systems preferred.
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Leadership:
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and drive production success in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, twisting, pushing, and pulling.
- Other Requirements:
- Must live within 30 miles of Mineral Wells, TX.
- Must be able to work any shift (7:00 AM–3:00 PM, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, or 11:00 PM–7:00 AM).
- Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Availability for extended hours when required to meet production goals.
