QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNICIAN
Monday – Friday, mandatory overtime
10:00 pm - 6:30 am
$17.50 per hour
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Receive and review shift reports from the previous shift
- Inspect meat slurry for expiration, sensory defects, color, and viscosity
- Perform checks on bags, lot codes, best-by dates, solochain LPs, and correct bag sizes
- Verify production paperwork to ensure correct formulas are used
- Communicate quality concerns to packaging operators and supervisors
- Inspect transfer trailers for debris, mold, or structural damage
- Check tote sacks for holes and ensure plaques are intact
- Visually inspect finished good pallets for release and transport readiness
- Inspect production machinery for cleanliness and proper operation
- Stock gloves in designated work areas
- Maintain organization of the retain/shelf-life study room
- Assist with packaging tasks when needed (e.g., stacking, labeling, boxing)
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2–3 years of experience in quality control, food safety, or related field
- Strong computer skills and statistical analysis capability
- Ability to push, pull, carry, or lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to climb stairs and ladders daily
- Strong attention to visual detail at close range
- Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
- Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times
- Adhere strictly to safety and GMP policies
- Willingness to be cross-trained in multiple production areas
