Job Description

QUALITY ENGINEER
Monday - Friday 
6:30 am - 5:00 pm
$22.00 - $24.00 per hour

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
 
  • Create, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Ensure compliance with company and industry standards, including ISO requirements
  • Identify quality issues, recommend corrective actions, and maintain quality documentation
  • Oversee quality control systems and daily operations
  • Apply and analyze testing and inspection procedures to ensure product integrity
  • Diagnose and correct improper quality control practices
  • Conduct and oversee quality audits, identifying deficiencies and implementing corrective measures
  • Facilitate nonconformance reports (NCR) and manage resolutions
  • Perform fabrication, assembly, and production inspections at various stages (first article, in-process, and final)
  • Develop and manage inspection plans for components and parts independently

 
JOB REQUIREMENTS 
 
  • Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience in quality control or engineering
  • Strong knowledge of ISO9001 standards and quality management systems
  • Proficient in Windows Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience leading within a matrixed organization
  • Skilled in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
  • Proficient in calibration of measuring instruments and CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) usage
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability in quality inspection of machined parts to print, calibration of instrumentation, and maintaining QMS compliance
