RECEIVING ASSISTANT
Monday - Friday 
8:00 am - 5:00 pm 
$16.00 per hour

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Organize and prioritize daily receiving tasks to support production goals
  • Communicate changes in shipments to Sales, Product, and Operations teams
  • Address receiving issues promptly to maintain workflow continuity
  • Provide support for other operational roles when needed
  • Coordinate with internal teams regarding inbound materials or discrepancies
  • Greet truck drivers and manage sign-in procedures
  • Review and process driver paperwork, including making necessary copies
  • Print purchase orders and pre-receive materials into the system for smooth processing
  • Assign material tags based on vendor paperwork
  • Verify accuracy of received materials against purchase orders
  • Enter material data into the system accurately and promptly
  • Communicate discrepancies to relevant departments
  • Generate and distribute Receiving Reports and Tags to the Shop Foreman
  • Use the Shipping Screen to queue orders and attach relevant documents
  • Scan and upload Material Test Reports (MTRs) into Eniteo and shared drive
  • Finalize and file receiving packets
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Receiving Clerk
JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma required
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 1+ year in the steel industry or related field preferred
  • Receiving experience preferred
  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of Eniteo or similar systems preferred
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to identify and resolve material or inventory discrepancies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in fast-paced work settings
  • Familiarity with steel industry operations a plus
