SALES SUPPORT ASSISTANT
Monday – Friday
7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
 
  • Process customer orders, quotes, and invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Serve as a liaison between Sales Representatives, Operations, and Logistics to ensure smooth fulfillment of customer needs.
  • Maintain up-to-date customer information and activity records in CRM and ERP systems.
  • Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and dashboards for the sales leadership team.
  • Monitor and track order status, delivery schedules, and inventory availability.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries, changes, and order adjustments.
  • Coordinate and support the Sales Support Supervisor with team and project tasks.
  • Participate in the implementation and improvement of sales processes and tools.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing, and credit procedures.
  • Assist with trade show preparation, marketing materials, and account documentation as needed.
  • Maintain communication between sales, logistics, and operations to ensure customer expectations are met.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Sales on process improvements, training, and reporting tools.
  • Prepare and distribute weekly sales reports, pipeline summaries, and order backlogs.
  • Support implementation of new systems, procedures, and documentation standards.
  • Develop and track KPIs related to order accuracy, response times, and customer satisfaction.
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS
 
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, or related field (preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in sales support, order processing, or customer service.
  • Prior logistics and sales experience preferred.
  • Proficient with CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot) and ERP/order entry systems.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Team-oriented, with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Experience in horticulture, agriculture, or distribution industries is a plus.
  • Customer-focused and responsive.
  • Detail-oriented and accurate.
