Job Description

SHIPPING ASSISTANT
Monday – Friday 
6:30 am – 3:00 pm
$17.00 per hour

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Coordinate between customer websites to ensure accurate, on-time shipments and proper paperwork.
  • Process and transfer orders in Business Central; maintain organized paper files.
  • Print required shipping documents (BOL, tags, labels, placards) and work with carrier TMS systems.
  • Unload trucks, document incoming equipment and raw materials, and update inventory records.
  • Move, sort, and store materials by size, type, style, or product code.
  • Assemble, pack, and label customer orders; prepare parcels for mailing.
  • Operate a forklift to transport and pick up items from various locations.
  • Complete requisitions for supplies and compile worksheets or tickets per customer specifications.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and reliable with a strong work ethic.
  • Proficient in Windows-based and web-based computer programs; strong math and reading skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and work in a plant environment 
  • Capable of reading, writing, and following instructions in various formats (written, oral, diagram, or schedule).
  • Able to remain alert and work safely in all conditions.
