SHIPPING OPERATOR
Monday – Friday, must be available to work overtime
8:00 am – 5:00 pm
$15.00 per hour
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Pick and package material for all shipments.
- Prepare, label, and route assigned shipments in a safe and efficient manner.
- The operator must have the ability to keep accurate records and maintain an organized schedule.
- Follow all company safe work practices and procedures.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Effective verbal and written communications in English preferred.
- Basic reading and writing competencies in English preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, instructions, and manuals.
- Ability to organize and manage time effectively.
- Possess the ability to utilize the training provided to make sound and safe judgements.
- Basic arithmetic skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Must be able to walk, stand, and climb stairs for 8–12-hour shifts.
- Must be able to use hand trucks and carts to push and pull loads > 100 lbs.
- Must have ability to lift and carry loads ≥ 75 lbs.
- Must have ability to safely mount and dismount forklifts.
- Position requires dexterity of hands and fingers to use hand/power tools and fasten items.
- Forklift experience preferred.
