Job Description

FORKLIFT OPERATOR
Monday - Friday
6:00 am - 2:30 pm
$17.00 per hour

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Operate and maintain forklift equipment safely and efficiently
  • Complete and document forklift inspection forms at the beginning of each shift or when switching equipment
  • Deliver stock to production machines accurately and on time
  • Remove finished goods from production areas and stack stock neatly in storage zones
  • Maintain accurate inventory location using paperwork and computer systems
  • Maximize equipment use by operating at optimal capacity and speed
  • Adhere to production schedules and suggest improvements for efficiency
  • Assist other forklift operators and provide backup for the Shipping Lead as needed
  • Accurately complete reports including production, safety, quality, and equipment status
  • Follow all safety policies and maintain clean, organized work areas
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid Lift Truck Operator License (required)
  • Prior forklift experience (preferred)
  • Experience in the corrugated or manufacturing industry (preferred)
  • Ability to read and follow instructions, including factory masters
  • Proficient in using a tape measure and performing basic math calculations
  • Able to understand and solve problems using common sense and standard procedures
  • Working knowledge of equipment design, product layouts, production specifications, and quality standards
