WELDER
Monday - Friday, mandatory overtime and weekends
6:00 am - 6:00 pm
$22.00 - $24.00 per hour, DOE
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Inspect welds visually and dimensionally using precision measuring instruments to ensure conformance with blueprints and specifications
- Perform welding using FCAW, GMAW, and SMAW processes
- Excavate welds using back gouging carbon arc/air processes as required
- Position, align, and clamp fabricated metal components in preparation for welding
- Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and job specifications
- Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Maintain compliance with all safety standards and procedures
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1–2 years of structural and/or pipe welding experience
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Ability to pass AWS D1.1 weld tests: FCAW (3G), GMAW (3G), and SMAW (2G)
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and safety protocols
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols
- Ability to read, comprehend, and follow instructions, correspondence, and memos
- Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one and small group settings
- Basic math skills, including the ability to calculate percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Familiarity with LEAN manufacturing principles preferred
