ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Operate MIG, TIG, and stick welding equipment to assemble and repair metal components
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and work orders with minimal supervision
- Layout, fit-up, and weld materials accurately and independently
- Set up and operate Auto Saw for material layout
- Fabricate, fit, and weld with extreme accuracy
- Conduct quality inspections of finished welds to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Use and read a tape measure to 1/32 inch; convert decimals to fractions; read prints and specifications
- Perform welding layout using basic hand tools
- Utilize cranes to move heavy materials as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with safety protocols
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve welding techniques
- Willing to learn and assist in manual lathe machining processes as needed
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 2 years of welding experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques and equipment
- Ability to pass a 1G certification
- Strong blueprint reading skills with the ability to work independently
- High accuracy in layout, fitting, and welding tasks
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to perform quality checks and follow strict safety standards
- High school diploma or equivalent required
