Tax Season Overtime: Saturdays (4-6 hours)
$20.00 - $40.00 per hour, DOE
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Prepare and file individual and business tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
- Review financial records, including income statements, balance sheets, and receipts, to determine tax liabilities and identify deductions or credits.
- Advise clients on tax planning strategies to maximize savings and ensure compliance.
- Address client inquiries and provide professional guidance on tax-related matters.
- Stay up to date with changing tax laws and regulations to ensure accurate and compliant tax filings.
- Communicate effectively with clients to collect necessary documentation and explain tax-related issues.
- Handle sensitive client information with professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity.
- Assist with audits, tax planning, and other tax-related projects as needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 5 years of corporate-level tax experience (UltraTax experience is a plus).
- Experience with 1065, 1120S, and 1040 tax forms.
- Degree not required; CPA or certification is not required but will be considered.
- Strong knowledge of tax regulations and filing procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and analytical abilities.
- High ethical standards and ability to maintain client confidentiality.
