Meat Processor
Monday - Friday
6:00 am ( 10-12 hour shifts )
$16.00 - $20.00 per hour, DOE
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Perform humane stunning and slaughtering of animals in accordance with safety and ethical standards
- Skin carcasses and eviscerate by removing internal organs
- Cut carcasses into primal cuts and further process into smaller, market-ready portions
- Trim meat to remove defects, blemishes, or other issues to meet quality standards
- Inspect carcasses and meat for quality, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Operate specialized tools and equipment such as meat saws and knives for cutting and trimming
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work area and equipment
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Prior experience in wieslander- meat processing or a similar industrial environment
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment including lifting, standing, and repetitive motion
- Knowledge of humane animal handling practices and meat processing techniques
- Comfortable using knives, saws, and other meat processing tools
- Attention to detail for inspecting and identifying defects in meat
- Ability to follow strict safety, hygiene, and USDA regulations
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work in a team-oriented environment
