ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Check welds visually and dimensionally with precision measuring instruments for conformance to blueprints and specifications
- Demonstrate a good mechanical aptitude
- Able to read and interpret prints involving weld symbols
- Weld with FCAW, GMAW, and SMAW Processes
- Excavates Welds with Back Gouging Carbon Arc Process/Air Process
- Positions and clamps together components of fabricated metal products preparatory to welding
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have previous structural and/or pipe welding experience (1-2 years)
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
- Must pass AWS D1.1 FCAW-3G, GMAW- 3G, and SMAW-2G weld tests
- Must Be Totally Committed to Understanding Safety Requirements and Working Accident Free
- Sd Ability to read and comprehend instruction, correspondence and memos
- Ability to write correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, area circumference and volume
- Ability to apply concepts of basic mathematics
- Prefer Strong Understanding of LEAN manufacturing
