ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
 
  • Assist experienced scaffolders in building, modifying, and dismantling scaffolding systems.
  • Load, transport, and unload materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote a safe working environment.
  • Pass tools and materials to scaffolders and hold components in place during assembly and disassembly.
  • Inspect equipment for visible damage and report any issues to a supervisor.
  • Stack and store scaffolding materials and equipment properly after use.
 
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS
 
  • Ability to perform heavy physical labor, including lifting, carrying, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a construction crew.
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools.
  • Attention to detail when handling materials and maintaining safety standards.
  • Previous experience in scaffolding or construction is preferred but not required.
  • This position does not require working on elevated scaffolding structures.

  • Use scanner to scan tickets and input to computer

JOB REQUIREMENTS
 
  • Experience operating a pallet jack is a must
  • Must be able to read, interpret and apply specific work instructions to a high degree of accuracy and completeness
  • Must possess good attention to detail and judgment when making operational decisions
  • Effective at time management and prioritizing work requirements
  • Coordinates individual activities with production needs according to a predetermined schedule and event timing
  • Must be able to safely operate PIV.

  • Load, unload, move, and tag materials and parts (forklift use if trained)

  • Interfaces with maintenance management system(s), including printing work orders, inputting information, etc. 
  • Operate an angle grinder, hammer drill, and other powered hand tools.
  • Operate man lifts, forklifts, or other construction-related equipment.

  • Perform minor metal fabrication and pipe fitting.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
 
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3 to 5 years of Mechanical Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. (or applicable Mechanical Technical Degree)
  • Experience in plant safety systems such as Confined Space entry, Hot Work permitting, and Lockout/Tagout of industrial equipment.
  • Basic skills in areas of industrial mechanical equipment troubleshooting and repairs, pipe fitting, minor metal fabrication, including welding, and proper use of mechanical tools.
  • Ability to use computer - basic computer skills. 
  • Experience with a forklift preferred.

  • Operate and conduct all maintenance processes safely, adhering to HE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) regulations.
  • Perform job functions of Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician I & II, including troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Perform repairs and routine maintenance on glass furnace-specific plant equipment, including Distributors, Forehearths, and Firebox areas.
  • Complete specialized fabrication tasks, including welding and metal fabrication as required.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and replace Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and other critical plant components.
  • Conduct regulatory inspections and maintain proper documentation in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Actively participate in plant-wide HSE, quality, and productivity initiatives to improve plant operations.
  • Participate voluntarily in the Safety Team on a rotating basis, supporting safety audits, hazard identification, and behavior-based safety activities.
  • Promote a culture of safety, ensuring all work follows safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space Entry, and Hot Work Permitting.
  • Adhere to the HE Essentials by completing training, reporting injuries/incidents immediately, and following plant safety rules.
